Ultrasound Guided Injection Techniques for Spasticity Management - An Anatomical Approach

In this course Mr Budithi teaches a systematic methodology using ultrasound scanning to recognise anatomy and target injection of the main muscles of the upper and lower limbs. The programme is designed to guide the practitioner managing spasticity through the essential probe handling and image orientation skills required and is delivered over five live interactive evening sessions. Delegates are given assignments designed to reinforce their learning. This course is suitable for those using ultrasound already in their practice and seeking to gain confidence, while it equally offers a structured learning pathway for the practitioner who wants to start using ultrasound imaging for injection guidance in spasticity management. For beginners it is recommended to have completed the OrcaPOD Starter Skills Course in advance.

A home-based programme of practical instruction facilitated by provision of an ultrasound scanner to each student. The series of remotely delivered interactive video conference sessions with accompanying practice exercises has been specficially designed to build up applied anatomical knowledge, muscle identification, practical skills, probe handling and image orientation confidence in a progressive manner through repetition. To be conducted over a period of five weeks.
